Garlic has been recognized for its amazing health benefits. And, garlic is one of the best plants to grow at home. It’s incredibly easy and inexpensive too; all you need is patience to see the result of your effort.
To grow garlic indoor, all you need is one head of garlic, a container, and potting soil.
Fill a large pot with potting soil. Break garlic head into cloves. You can keep as much of the skin on as possible.
Sow each clove into the soil at a depth of half inch. Plant them for about an inch apart. Make sure the garlic is facing up and the side faces down.
Water slowly, then, place the pot in an area that gets plenty of direct sunlight.
Like any indoor plant garlic needs moist soil, water it when soil starts to dry out.
About a week or two, garlic shoots should come out. Wait until they are about 3 – 4 inches tall, clip off the greens; leave about an inch for it to re-grow. Eventually, the greens will stop growing.
When it turns brown and dries up, dig the clove of garlic you planted. At that point, you should have a full bulb. Take them and start over!
